Film poster- DRAFT 2
Film poster- DRAFT 2
Here is the second draft I created for our film poster. I took the same layout approach for all 3 drafts as it was a structure which was cohesive through all poster types and conformed to the codes and conventions of different film posters. However, with this draft, I decided to use an effect in which makes Amber (on the left) look black and white and almost in the shadows of the poster which represents the seriousness of domestic abuse and the black and white shows the dark tone of the topic. Contrasting, on the right side of the poster,I decided to use an effect that almost highlights around Blake, and the touch of colour is a way which connotes the contrast in moods and emotions of Blake and Amber throughout the film and their constant conflict of opinion. The highlighted outline of the character on the poster also shows that the film is slightly showcasing his point of view of the situation more and viewers get to see domestic abuse from the abusers perspective; almost to show it in a different light. The colour pallete of the poster is black and white which a hint of colour to highlight a character; this is a basic way in which I used to be able to make the text stand out on the page and make it more eye catching to an audience.
