Filming and Editing 
Here is the different resources and techniques I used in order to create my short film and the different processes that i went through to achieve the final product. 

 Camera and Tripod
To create the short film AFTERTASTE,we used a range of different technologies including:

  • Canon EOS 700D camera 
  • Canon zoom lens 18-55mm
  • Tripod ( SLIK 18000)

These three pieces of equipment allowed me to firstly be able to record the film but also have stability in the quality of the videography. The lens allowed for a clear, high quality image to be taken as well as the movement for different shots, such as a zoom in shot. The tripod also allowed easy movement for a variety of shots such as a panning shot and shot types from both high and low angles.

Sound
Sound is another key factor that was extremely important in the short film produced because it could ultimately make or break the film if the quality of sound is bad or even if you cant hear the characters talk during scenes. Therefor the main piece of equipment that I used to ensure a high quality of audio during the filming os scenes was:

  • Rode microphone
This microphone ensured that during scenes, the video was recorded with a high quality of audio as it picked up the actors speech but also during the recording of different voiceovers, it allowed clear audio.

Editing software 
The editing software that me and my partner used in order to create and edit our short film is called Adobe Premier Pro; this software allowed us to edit clips together smoothly and add different audio tracks and voice over to complete our final product. Another editing software I decided to use for smaller editing tasks is IMovie. I used this software to create my behind the scenes montage because it allowed me to quickly paste together the small time lapse clips that were taken during filming.

Synopsis Title: Aftertaste Tagline: A sweet offer never comes without a bitter aftertaste Target audience: The target audience of our film will be 15-23 year old, students /working class people of both sexes. This is because domestic abuse is topical issue in that age range and society. We also feel that this issue is more prominent in those early stages of adult life, because young couples are still naive to the world, and would expect someone that “loves” them not to do that. Classification: Reasons for classification: The film will be classified as a 15 because the BBFC classification states that violence may be strong but no severe injuries may be shown; can include strong threats and language and also strong/ dangerous behaviour may be shown full so the audience can’t copy; it’s kept discrete. Question 3 What did you learn from your audience feedback? Audience response  is a type of interaction associated with the use of  audience response  systems, to create interactivity between a presenter and it's  audience . Having and creating audience feedback is a very important within the production of the short film that we created as it is a way in which we can receive the opinions and preferences from the people that the film is specifically aimed at.
