Rule of thirds The rule of thirds is a photography technique which is used to help divert the attention of the viewer of an image to a specific viewpoint. The rule of thirds can be applied into videography and film when creating the establishing shots or introducing/ showing emotion on a character's face. The rule of thirds is created by a grid method, which indicates that the focal point of a photo is placed in the centre third of the grid. Here are some examples of the rule of thirds in action:
Question 3 What did you learn from your audience feedback? Audience response is a type of interaction associated with the use of audience response systems, to create interactivity between a presenter and it's audience . Having and creating audience feedback is a very important within the production of the short film that we created as it is a way in which we can receive the opinions and preferences from the people that the film is specifically aimed at. Question 4 How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? Within the process of construction, research, planning and evaluation stages of my media product I was able to use a wide range of applications and technologies to be able to assist this process. I was also able to develop my previous skills using different technologies from previous tasks such as my AS media projects. 1. Blogger The integral piece of technology that was used throughout the whole process of creating, researching, planning and evaluating my short film project is Blogger. This application allowed me to be able to publish and keep track of all the stages of the film and present all of my work in order of completion.
